Minimalist Oiling

What is Minimalism and why would you want it in your life?  Some of you may have heard of it, maybe not.  But it is something that is getting increasingly popular.  It is changing the attitude and focus in life.  Shifting the focus on reducing consumption and the need for things and being wasteful, without necessarily knowing that you are doing it.  Being a mother of 5, I often gravitate to thisconvenience mindset and loose my focus on living simply and richly in the moment.  This blog is designed to give ideas and methods that may help you in your life, about healthy Essential oil consumption and not overconsumption.

I would love any helpful insights or criticism, so please feel comfortable in this space.  Anyhow, here is a tast on what Minimalist Oiling Method is:

Here is helpful tips to increase the duration of your Essentials, while still getting the benefits and lasting effects from these powerful bottles of Goodness.
▪️Dilution

If your not already familiar with dilution, you might want to really dig deep into it! It is a great way to increase the surface area and prevent essential oil evaporation.  Oftentimes areas of need are larger then an couple square inches,  which is large area for a single drop of essential oil.

A great way to approach this is by using a carrier oil.  Most oils are great for this.  Such as,  almond, sesame, coconut, castor oil to name a few.  My personal favorites are this FCO (fractionated Coconut Oil ), which is also the popular choice for most oilers!  Aloe FCO, which has the healing benefits to ease skin irritation. Lastly,  this foot balm for a quick foot rub helping me get better essential oil coverage.
Typical Dilution goes as follows:

✔️Adults do a 1 tsp to a drop 💧 of an Essential Oil

✔️Youth do about 2 tsp. To a drop 💧 of Essential Oil

✔️ Babies do about a Tbl. To a drop 💧 of essential oil.

When one ☝️ follows these general guidelines they can greatly reduce the amount of essential oil that is used.  Since small essential oils tend to be more expensive then large carrier oils,  this can be a great approach to saving money.

▪️Quality

Let’s face it, there are a few essential oil brands on the market – whether someone wants to shop from home or go to a Whole Foods market.  Quality, quality, quality is what I look for.  It is important to note that they are not all grown, distilled, processed and packaged the same.  So searching for an effective brand can not only save money, but also application time.  When a essential oil has a proven track record and cell permeability,  ensures the consumer that less is more.  this is the brand I prefer. …{And this is the series where I explain why }
